Centrica Pension Plan Scheme Elections - Karl Whitehead nominated Don't forget to let us know your views! More... Branch Christmas Trip... to Bath Christmas Market? (28/10/10) We have had many enquiries about this year's trip to Bath Christmas Market. In response to feedback received and in order to maximise the number of people that can come along on this fun day out, the trip will be on Saturday, 11th December 2010. More... Election of Member Trustees for the Centrica Pension Plan Scheme (12/10/10) If you are a member of the Centrica Pension Plan you will hopefully be aware that there is an election underway for a member trustee. The deadline for voting is 25 October 2010. The trustees perform an important role in looking after the best interests of the pension scheme and its members. There are 3 member trustees elected by the scheme members plus 4 appointed by the company including an independent trustee. Trustees are elected for a three year term. Karl Whitehead from British Gas – Cardiff - has been nominated to stand as a candidate. More... (01/02/10) All members are cordially invited to this year's annual general meeting taking place on Thursday, 15th March 2010 at the UNISON Office in Cardiff. It is highly recommended for you to attend. It is important to have the input from all members and the meeting will provide the perfect opportunity for a debate or raise questions. More... Your UNISON Branch Diaries and Desk Calendars (16/12/09) Hasn't 2009 gone fast? It feels like last year's Christmas was only yesterday! Well, we can't get away from it (or enough) but that time of year is finally here... The new 2010 diaries and desk calendars are now available for collection. More... Branch Newsletter - Edition 2 - Your Health, Safety and Welfare (05/10/09) With European health and Safety week approaching it seemed appropriate to dedicate this edition to just that - health and safety. Health and Safety is a hot issue for many workplaces and few too many of us are aware of the dangers which could exist in our day to day working environment. Thanks to the many health and safety stewards in UNISON (and not forgetting the members!) many accidents (and even deaths) are thankfully prevented. Keep an eye out on events coming near you soon!
